Artists of the Corn will be collaborating with Western Avenue Community Center, Bloomington, IL along with Illinois Art Station, Normal, IL and hosting a 1 day art market on July 15, 2023.

This summer, Illinois Art Station is continuing its collaboration with Western Avenue Community Center‘s Willie Brown Leadership Development program and sharing space with new friends Artists of the Corn in a six-week artmaking experience culminating in an art market on Saturday, July 15 at WACC. Our young artists are creating works side-by-side with AoC artists with the help of IAS educators and will be showing/selling their wares along with 20+ local/regional artists at the art market in July.
Our first two weeks together were spent exploring the art of glass with Michael Amis Studio and Gathered Illusions, along with a trip to The Hangar Art Co. where we met with artists Santino Lamancusa, Kevin Strandberg, and Jeff Bess. We continued our glass making escapades with a workshop on glass fusing, in part thanks to Prairie Fire Glass in Monticello.
