The November 2022 Shuckin’ Awesome Golden Cob Winner, Lydia Puddicombe!
Lydia Puddicombe was presented the Golden Cob by Kim Caisse, who was commissioned to create the award after she won it in July 2022. Who knows what Lydia will come up with to present to the POP! Spring Art Market, March 2023 Golden Cob Winner. (We know it will be a-maize-ing!)
The Golden Cob, our Artists’ Choice Award.
We started this tradition at our inaugural Funky Farms Holiday ArtPocalypse, November 2021 and it’s become my favorite part of the show.
The first Golden Cob Award was created for us by glass artist, Matt Urban, Furnace Urbini Glassworks, of Bloomington, IL which was presented to Bri Skeels of The Menagerie of Misplaced Memories. Bri was commissioned to create the next Golden Cob for our second show, the Spring ArtPocalypse Art Market!
Golden Cob II, created by Bri was then awarded to Cory Mccrory at our second show, the Spring ArtPocalypse Art Market.
We commissioned Cory to create Golden Cob III for our July Vrooman Mansion art show and the Artists of the Corn voted Kim Caisse as our Golden Cob winner and now it is on her to create our next award for this November at the Shuckin’ Awesome Art Market!
Can’t wait to see what Kim creates for Golden Cob IV!
